WHAT'S GOING ON?
Whats going on?!
These were the words Marvin Gaye belted out in attempts to accurately dipict the society in which he was a witness too. He was able to connect to the hearts of those around him through his very descriptive lyrics and through the heart filled passion heard in his voice.
If you have the ability to effectively translate what's going on in your own community do it in the way you see fit.
I ask you whats going on in your city, and you do you plan inspire positive change?

In Cleveland Ohio, Drugs is a major factor in the city of Portland. Youth often find themselves in the stuggle of drugs and violence. Poverty has risen in the last decade as well, and poverty is a major factor contributing to the drugs and violence that the youth are faced with today. The community in the surrounding areas definately need to step in to make a difference in these young peoples lives.
ReplyDeletePerhaps by starting out with some afterschool programs, sports, or even clubs like the Boys And Girls Club. These are all excellent ways to get involved with the youth to prevent striking events such as drugs and violence taking over their young minds. And most definately make school their #1 priority, we as a community need to send that message straight into the minds of the struggleing youths of Cleveland Ohio.
